Start of the IT4SSM Master's program: the first co-created Master's degree in the EUNICE alliance

The start of the 2024-2025 academic year marks the launch of the first edition of the Master in Computer Science"Information Technology for Smart and Sustainable Mobility" (IT4SSM). This innovative program has been developed as part of the EUNICE alliance of European universities.

Official launch of Master IT4SSM

This Wednesday, September 4, marked the kick-off of the Master IT4SSM, a program developed within the EUNICE alliance by four alliance institutions: the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (and more specifically INSA Hauts-de-France), the University of Cantabria (Spain), the Poznan University of Technology (Poland) and the University of Vaasa (Finland). The master's degree is offered in a co-modal format, enabling students from the various universities to follow the courses live on site or remotely.

Teachers from the four universities and students, mostly enrolled at UPHF and the University of Cantabria, took part in the launch module. This one, offered in hybrid format, was moderated by Káthia Marçal de Oliveira and Véronique Delcroix, the program's pedagogical managers, but also by teachers from the partner establishments.

Three teachers from Poznan University of Technology, Pawel Zmuda-Trzebiatowski, Szymon Fierek and Maciej Bienczak, also came to UPHF to deliver modules in this innovative format.

One of the European Union's ambitions is to promote easy, sustainable mobility across the continent. Sharing this vision, and recognizing that the IT4SSM project is an essential component in making it a reality, I felt it was important to get involved in this master's program.
