Portrait of Lilit Khanoyan, Engineer and Kick Boxing Champion at INSA Hauts-de-France.

Lilit Khanoyan, aspiring engineer and top-level Kick Boxing athlete at INSA Hauts-de-France, embodies the determination and versatility of our institution by juggling studies, combat sports and artistic and associative life.

His background

A native of Armenia, Lilit joined INSA Hauts-de-France's first graduating class in 2019 after completing an integrated Prépa at our institute too. Having always wanted to work in transport, she opted for an engineering course in mechanics and energy, where she then chose the Transport and Sustainable Mobility sub-specialty in 5th year. This choice was confirmed by her 4th year internship at ALTEN in Austria, where she developed a keen interest in aeronautics and aerospace. This year, she is doing her final year internship at SAFRAN.

The link between Sport & Studies

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Lilit excelled in synchronized swimming before turning to Kick Boxing, where she is also a top-level sportswoman. Her sports sessions were integrated into her schedule, enabling her to train sufficiently to take part in the French University Kick Boxing Championships, where she won the Bronze Medal. She qualified for the English and French Boxing championships, but with her end-of-study internship, she is unfortunately unable to take part. In terms of support, it was Mr. Dumeau who offered his help to support her academically throughout her 5 years and Mr. Bennani Otman, STAPS teacher, at INSA Hauts-de-France, who has been with her since her beginnings too.

His commitment to community life

In addition to her studies and high-level sport, Lilit takes the time to get fully involved in the associative life of INSA Hauts-de-France: She is a tutor for the Association "INSA je veux, je peux", and thus embodies the values of mutual aid and solidarity that we hold dear. She is a member of the Bureau des Arts (BDA) and is also part of a campus music group, "Les apprentis", where she has already taken part in several springboard competitions, and plays at events on weekends with her band.

A true source of inspiration

The message we wanted to convey by portraying her is one of inclusion and motivation. Lilit, as a child of immigrants, had to make many sacrifices to find her place, and these sacrifices ultimately became her greatest opportunity. Through her tenacity, she has demonstrated her ability to manage multiple projects with flying colors.

It is through this fine example of equal opportunity that we want to show you that at INSA Hauts-de-France, we offer an environment conducive to personal and professional fulfillment and success, allowing each student to develop his or her artistic, sporting and associative life.
