Industrial cybersecurity: B&R Automation's enriching intervention with our students

Concrete collaboration with industry

As part of our partnership with B&R Automation, a subsidiary of the ABB Group, INSA Hauts-de-France was pleased to welcome Mr. Thibault Roncelin for a presentation to 4th year engineering students, specializing in Industrial Computing and Automation.

.

This meeting illustrates our desire to bring engineering training closer to the reality of the field, by relying on regular exchanges with industry professionals.

Dedicated teaching and practical application

Students first attended a lecture on cybersecurity applied to industrial systems, before putting their knowledge into practice in a workshop. This enabled them to configure B&R PLCs using the OPC UA industrial network, widely adopted in connected production environments.

A formative partnership for all

Thanks to this partnership, our engineering students benefit from access to state-of-the-art equipment, such as the LSF room or the Delta Robot, enabling them to work in conditions close to those found in industry. Our teacher-researchers also benefit from the latest advances in B&R technologies, reinforcing their knowledge and expertise in this sector.
