A double life between engineering and gaming competition
Marius Marbeuf, 1st year SHPI at INSA Hauts-de-France, combines engineering studies with a passion for video games.
From passion to competition
Passionate about video games, and in particular Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Marius attracted the attention of the Scottish structure "Notorious Gaming". With their support, he now competes at the highest level. This "double life" enables him to perfect his English, work as part of a team, and earn a bit of money while pursuing his studies.
Marius has already taken part in several renowned tournaments in the USA, including Miami and Toronto. He's now setting his sights on Dallas, where he hopes to qualify for the Call of Duty League's final tournament from July 18 to 21. His latest qualifications are more than encouraging (Top 17/24 out of 96 teams, 6thth European top and best French top of the season) and raise hopes that he can achieve his goal.
Balancing passions and studies
A constant challenge: maintaining a rigorous balance between her studies and her passion. Her watchword? Organization. With daily training hours, weekend competitions, "VOD" viewing sessions three times a week to analyze his performances and a professional coach provided by the structure, this is how our student perfects his skills and ensures success in his studies and personal project.
A source of inspiration
Marius is another fine example among our students of how it's possible to pursue your passions while attending engineering school! Driven by science and video games from an early age, he now combines his two sources of fulfillment and motivation in the service of his professional project and his passion.
Good luck Marius for your qualification in Dallas and the rest of your journey both personal and professional!
